Adventure For Younger Audiences

Adeventure for younger audiences.

Narrative: protagonist and other major characters are consistently put in danger. Characters forced to use skills to overcome dangers.

Conventions:
  • Often sequals, stunts/special effects.
  • Settings are normally exotic locations like the desert or jungle.
  • Dangerous places suggest isolation is unknown, an unfamiliar setting which builds suspence.
  • Always ends happily, a resolution.
  • Main characters achieve what they set out to.
  • Conflict but no blood/ gore, as it is targeted at a young audience.
  • Maical element/supernatural
  • Music is often orchestral to combine with dramatic events in the narrative.

  • Harry Potter
  • Narnia
  • Peter Pan
